Hello there! Salut! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Nicole Fenwick, a professional, qualified French to English legal translator, a leading lawyer-linguist and a Chartered Linguist for French to English legal translation and certified translation, as featured by the Law Society.

I have an LLB in English Law with French Law and Language from the University of Leicester (2:1) and an MA in Translation Studies (Distinction) from the world-renowned Durham University where I specialised in French to English legal translation.
I’m a member of the Franco-British Lawyers Society/Association des Juristes Franco-Brittaniques.
I’m a Chartered Linguist which means you can trust me to uphold the highest professional standards and ethics. I combine my professionalism with a friendly approach that reassures clients that they’re in safe hands.
I’m a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) and a qualified French to English translator (MITI) and member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. I’m also a member of the ITI French Network and the ITI Law, Insurance and Finance Network.
I practise what I preach and take every opportunity to combine my legal training in English and French law with French to English legal translation. That’s why I’m studying for the STEP Advanced Certificate in Cross-Border Estates this year.
I co-wrote an article on “how you and your clients can benefit from investing in legal translation services” for the Law Society explaining how law firms, solicitors and other legal practitioners can benefit from investing in French to English legal translation services provided by qualified legal translators like me and Irene Corchado Resmella.
